Leonardo da Vinci

Artist, scientist, engineer, inventor – Leonardo da Vinci was a genius at all he turned his hand to and was one of the first “uomini universali”, as extraordinary people were called in his homeland of Italy.

Da Vinci embodies the quintessential Renaissance man. What distinguishes him from his famous contemporaries such as Michelangelo, Raphael or Botticelli is his versatility. From painting to engineering prowess and from mathematics to anatomy – with his detailed observations, da Vinci recorded groundbreaking ideas and made revolutionary inventions that would go on to change the world.

The exhibition “UOMO UNIVERSALE – LEONARDO DA VINCI” takes visitors on a journey through the life of the genius and displays, among other things, reproductions of his numerous inventions and all pieces that can currently be ascribed to him with certainty. The heart of the exhibition is immersive production. Over 30 projectors breathe new life into the works and world of the Renaissance man. Visitors will be immersed and experience the “uomo universale” as never before – prepare to be delighted, gripped and fascinated.
